Danish Audio Brand Jamo Returns to Australia With Bookshelf Speakers
Danish audio brand Jamo has launched the C707PA MKII active bookshelf speaker, priced at $1,399, marking the company’s return to the Australian market through new distributor Audacity Australia.
The speaker combines minimalist Scandinavian design with advanced acoustic performance, targeting hybrid workspaces, entertainment setups, and modern living environments.
Audacity Australia will showcase the C707PA MKII at the StereoNET Melbourne Hi-Fi & AV Show from August 29-31 in room 1203 at the Pullman Mercure Albert Park.
The C707PA MKII features dual 65W D-Class amplifiers in a two-way bass-reflex design intended to deliver deep bass response and precise high-frequency reproduction.
The compact speaker incorporates soft contours designed to integrate into various interior spaces while maintaining acoustic performance standards.
The speaker utilises Jamo’s signature acoustic technologies, including Hybrid Composition Conical Cone (HCCC) and Long Displacement Surround (LDS), for controlled damping and reduced distortion.
Anti-Diffraction WaveGuide (ADW) and Tweeter Distortion Reduction (TDR) technologies aim to provide natural treble response and flexible room dispersion.

Jamo’s iconic Aluminium Phase Plug enhances upper frequency clarity and power handling, while a three-band EQ system (Low/100Hz, Mid/1kHz, High/10kHz) enables user customisation and basic room correction adjustments.
The C707PA MKII includes extensive input options designed for modern audio sources.
Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity supports aptX and aptX HD lossless codecs for high-quality wireless streaming.
Additional inputs include HDMI TV ARC for television integration, USB Type-C, 3.5mm analog jack, switchable RCA (Line/Phono) for turntable connections, and optical digital input.
This connectivity suite positions the speaker as a central hub for various audio sources, from streaming services and gaming to vinyl records and television audio enhancement.
The speaker is available in five colours, including Black, White, Yellow, Khaki Green, and Blue, reflecting Jamo’s emphasis on aesthetic integration with contemporary interior design.
The colour variety allows customisation to match different room aesthetics and personal preferences.
Boyd Dainton, Director of Audacity Australia, emphasised Jamo’s heritage of acoustic purity and Scandinavian design, describing the C707PA MKII as representing “the latest chapter in that legacy.”
The launch marks the beginning of expanded Jamo availability in Australia, with Audacity also introducing Jamo’s custom installation speaker series for residential and commercial applications.
The C707PA MKII is available now through specialist audio retailers, representing Jamo’s strategy to target discerning audio enthusiasts seeking compact, high-performance speakers that balance aesthetic appeal with acoustic accuracy.
