Crestron Home Update Adds Holiday Scheduling, TV Tuning & Thermostat Support

Home automation company Crestron has updated its platform to the Crestron Home Version 3.4.

The update includes new and improved features such as vacation scheduler mode, support for tuners built-in to TVs and support for thermostats.

With this update of Crestron Home, you can now control built-in TV tuners using any Crestron remote, touch screen, or mobile device. And to keep it intuitive, it shows up like any other video source.

This version also expands on the growing “Works with Crestron Home” list of products, including the legacy Crestron (CHV-TSTAT-FCU) thermostat.

The update also allows you to make a randomized Sequence to play back lighting and tie it to a scheduled event. Or get even more creative and add shading, TVs, and music, for the ultimate lived-in appearance.

The update is available from February 16.
