CommBank Offers Customers $5 Cash To Embrace Apple Pay

The Commonwealth Bank – which a year ago, along with rival Westpac and NAB, was boycotting Apple Pay – has now embraced the Apple system and is offering its Apple-using customers a $5 cash deposit if they embrace the platform.

According to a CommBank offer sighted by IT News, CBA’s invitation to customers urges them to try Apple Pay “with your CommBank debit card, using your iPhone or Apple Watch, and we’ll give you $5 cashback to spend however you like.”

IT News notes that Citibank and Visa are offering $5 cashback deals to Sydney commuters at busy locations like Sydney’s Wynyard station.
