CIA Ramps Up Huawei Attack

US intelligence agencies have renewed their attack against Chinese telecommunications giant Huawei, accusing it of being funded by Chinese state security. This latest claim is additional to the list of allegations already faced by Huawei.

The CIA says Huawei receives funding from China’s National Security Commission, the People’s Liberation Army and a third branch of the Chinese state intelligence network.

The US agency shared its claims with members of the Five Eyes intelligence-sharing group, which comprise, the USA, Britain, Australia, Canada and New Zealand. This contributed to Huawei being banned from Australia’s 5G network.

Huawei has dismissed the US allegations, saying they are unsubstantiated and backed up by zero evidence from anonymous sources.
