CES 2026: What to Expect at Tech’s Biggest Show
The world’s largest consumer technology event returns to Las Vegas next month, with CES 2026 running from January 6–9.
This year, CES is doubling down on three big themes: AI everywhere, a new generation of display technology and smarter homes powered by robotics.
Televisions will once again dominate the CES show floor, with RGB TVs set to be a main focus.
Samsung, Sony, Hisense, LG and TCL are all expected to showcase next-generation displays built around RGB Mini-LED and Micro RGB backlighting. The technology is designed to deliver higher brightness, better colour accuracy and reduced haloing compared to traditional LED TVs.

Samsung is tipped to expand its Micro RGB range into more realistic screen sizes, while Hisense and TCL continue pushing aggressive pricing strategies. Dolby Vision 2, improved HDR standards and AI-driven picture processing will also feature heavily.
AI won’t just be a buzzword this year, it’s becoming infrastructure. Samsung, LG and Hisense are expected to show how AI improves real-world experiences, from smarter TV upscaling and sound tuning to refrigerators that manage groceries and robot vacuums that genuinely clean more effectively.
Robot vacuum brands like Roborock, Ecovacs and Dreame are set to unveil new models with roller-based mopping, robotic arms and fully automated cleaning docks.

CES remains a crucial launchpad for PCs, laptops and silicon. AMD, Intel and Qualcomm will all outline their AI PC strategies, with new processors designed for on-device AI workloads and better battery life.
Expect a wave of laptops from Lenovo, Asus, HP and Dell.
Samsung’s Odyssey gaming monitors and Lenovo’s experimental PC designs are also worth watching, especially as high-refresh-rate displays become more accessible.

While CES isn’t a smartphone launch show, it’s where concepts thrive. Samsung’s tri-fold phone, flexible displays, wearable tech and futuristic robotics will offer a glimpse at where consumer electronics are heading – even if some ideas never make it to retail.
Motorola may also break from CES tradition this year, with rumours that the brand will use Lenovo Tech World – hosted by its Chinese parent company during CES 2026 – to unveil a new premium foldable designed to take on Samsung and Google at the high end of the market.
