CES 2020: Lenovo Update ThinkSmart Office Tech

Lenovo has updated its ThinkSmart range with a slew of new smart office tech launched at CES 2020, designed to transform business communications.

Looking to improve meeting experiences, Lenovo unveiled the ThinkSmart View a dedicated personal business communications device for Microsoft Teams audio and video calls.

Expected to arrive in January 2020 for a price of either $349 or $449 with a ThinkPad X1 ANC Bluetooth Headset.

Powered by a Qualcomm APQ8053 system-on-chip (SoC), the desktop device can add you to ongoing meetings in seconds rather than minutes.

Plus new inbuilt software allows for virtual noise isolation when the ThinkSmart is paired with the ThinkPad X1 ANC Bluetooth headset.

For the security conscious there is a physical camera shutter and dedicated pin code for locking the smart office device.

The ThinkSmart View will join the existing purpose-built ThinkSmart Hub 500 solutions through either Microsoft Teams Rooms or Zoom Rooms.

Through both partnerships, Lenovo will be including its ThinkSmart View in small, medium and large smart office kits, purchased through Maverick AV Solutions.

Deployed and managed through the Lenovo Smart Office Professional Service Manager software, which makes configurations, updates and troubleshooting a breeze for IT Departments.

Joseph Mingori, general manager, Lenovo Smart Office business has described the new range of smart office devices as ‘a meeting of interconnected technology and working cultural changes is enabling transformations towards smarter workspaces’.

Lenovo has partnerships with Avocor for interactive displays, AI cameras from Huddly and audio-visual accessories from Logitech have enhanced experiences for offices.

‘By leveraging the next wave of smart office technology, such as ThinkSmart View, companies can design and equip a workplace for greater agility, creativity and engagement. Working with an eco-system of partners is crucial in empowering end-users and enabling closer collaboration around the world’.
