CES 2016: Lenovo Goes Slim With Yoga 900S Laptop

Lenovo has unveiled the Yoga 900S, “the world’s thinnest ultra-portable convertible laptop”, at CES 2016, along with a number of new devices.

Lenovo states the Yoga 900S has been engineered “to be beautifully slim and noticeably lighter than previous models”, measuring in at 12.8 mm and weighing in at 999 g, sporting a new carbon fibre construction.

Running Windows 10 and powered by up to an Intel Core m7 processor, the Yoga 900S features up to 10.5 hours of video playback, a QHD screen (2560 x 1440) and Dolby Audio Premium.

A 360 degree watchband hinge with four modes “makes it easy to work through a long-haul flight in laptop mode, or to scan social media feeds in tablet mode”.

Lenovo has additionally launched its new ideapad Y900 laptop, which, running Windows 10, is “built for total immersive play”.

The 17″ ideapad Y900 is powered by a quad-core 6th generation Intel Core i7 K-series processor, is equipped with Nvidia GTX 980M graphics, and comes with a mechanical backlit multi-colour keyboard.

Meanwhile, the first products launched from Lenovo’s partnership with Razer are the ultra-premium Razer editions of the ideacentre Y900 RE and Lenovo Y27g RE Curved Gaming Monitor.

The ideacentre Y900 RE features a quad-core 6th generation Intel Core i7 K-series processor and dual Nvidia GTX 970 discrete graphics, bundled with a Razer Chroma keyboard and mouse, along Razer Chroma multi-colour lighting effects.

The 27-inch FHD VA Y27g Curved Gaming Monitor has 144 Hz fast refresh rates and 8 ms response time, and also comes in a special Razer edition with Chroma lighting effects.

Lenovo states its ideacentre 610S, sporting a triangular design and metallic body finish, is the world’s first compact home PC with an optional removable wireless projector, with users able to “turn any wall into an instant 100″ home theatre”.

The Windows 10 ideacentre 610S is powered by up to a 6th generation Intel Core i7 processor, features up to Nvidia GTX 750Ti 2 GB GDDR5 desktop gaming graphics, and comes with up to 16 GB DDR4 memory and up to 2 TB of storage.

Running Windows 10, the 15″ and 17″ ideapad 700 laptops are powered by up to the latest 6th generation Intel Core i7 Standard Voltage processors, feature up to Nvidia GTX 950M graphics, 1 TB storage and optional JBL stereo speakers.

The 13″ ideapad 710S laptop, which weighs in at 1.16 kg, features a 6th generation Intel Core processor, offers optional Intel Iris graphics, features an ultra-narrow bezel display, and comes with up to a 256 GB high-speed PCIe SSD.
