Burton Gone From Convoy International As Business Struggles
Steve Burton has gone from Convoy International, the former General Manager had been managing the operations of the struggling business, since the death of founder Geoff Mathews.
Burton liked to tell everyone that he was a ‘Marketing Professional’, despite having limited experience, having been a ‘sell through’ and merchandising manager in Europe for brands such as Monster before joining Convoy.
Currently Convoy International is struggling to supply stock with questions being raised about the future of the business.
ChannelNews understands that several competitors have looked at acquiring the business but have walked away from the distributor that is now run by David Mathews a former fireman and intensive care paramedic.
He took on the role after the sudden death of his father.
