Bunnings Joins Uber Eats for One-Hour Hardware Delivery
Bunnings has agreed a major partnership with Uber Eats that will see more than 30,000 products delivered to Australian homes and worksites in under an hour.
The Wesfarmers-owned hardware giant will list its range on the Uber Eats app at the same prices as in-store, marking one of the largest non-grocery retail expansions on the platform to date.
Shoppers will be able to order everything from nuts and bolts to lawn mowers, power washers, pet food, packing boxes and everyday DIY essentials.
The rollout will begin with 15 locations across Australia following a successful pilot across five Melbourne stores in late January. A national expansion across Australia and New Zealand is planned for later this year.

Bunnings chief operating officer Ryan Baker said demand for on-demand delivery is growing, particularly among customers juggling projects at home or on building sites.
“On-demand delivery has really increased in what our customers are looking for, whether it’s getting on with a job at home or if you’re on site,” Baker said. “This saves trade customers a lot of time and money if they don’t have to leave the site.”
While Bunnings remains known for its warehouse browsing experience, Baker said the move is designed to complement existing delivery options and attract new, younger customers – particularly those buying moving supplies, storage and cleaning products.

For Uber Eats, the deal strengthens its push beyond food into rapid retail.
Lucas Groeneveld, Uber Eats’ APAC regional general manager for retail, said Bunnings’ store network gives it an edge over distribution-centre-based rivals such as Amazon.
“On-demand orders can be fulfilled from a nearby store and delivered through Uber’s network of more than 200,000 delivery people and driver partners,” he said.
The partnership builds on a 2024 agreement between the two companies that introduced same-day parcel delivery from select stores.
Uber One members will receive $0 delivery fees on eligible Bunnings orders over a minimum spend.
