BREAKING NEWS:Telstra Accused OF Causing Network Failure

Telstra has again been labelled as being resposible for network failures and a major security breach across Australia with Servers Australia issuing an “Incident Alert” to customers.

The affected operations are Brisbane – NextDC B1, Brisbane – NextDC B2, Brisbane – Syncom BNE, Melbourne – Equinix ME1, Melbourne – NextDC M1, Melbourne – Vocus, New Zealand, Perth – Vocus, Sydney – Equinix SY1, Sydney – Equinix SY3, Sydney – Equinix SY4, Sydney – Global Switch, Sydney – NextDC S1, Sydney – Syncom SYD1, Sydney – Syncom SYD2, Sydney – Vocus.

The alert claims that Servers Australia Network Engineers identified an issue with some IP ranges being advertised by Telstra, causing the prefixes to no longer route correctly to Servers Australia.

The Sydney based Company claims that they are currently are working with Telstra “To have them clear up the advertisements on their end and restore service”.
