BREAKING NEWS: Samsung Australia Appoints New CMO After 6 Month Search

Following a six month search, Samsung Australia has appointed Josh Grace as its new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). The news follows the resignation of Samsung Australia Corporate VP and CMO, Phil Newton, late last year.

Samsung Australia is expected to announce several new senior executives in the coming weeks, including personnel promoted from within.

Grace comes to Samsung Australia after a six year stint in Singapore, where he worked for health company, Abbott, as its Regional Marketing Officer, and Leo Burnett Singapore as its Managing Director.

Prior to this, Grace was the Chief Operating Officer of Leo Burnett, Sydney.

Mr Grace will oversee “every facet” of Samsung Australia’s marketing initiatives including; IT and mobile, consumer electronics and appliances, and its suite of connected technology and IoT.

The news comes after Samsung Australia witnessed the departure of several senior management personnel in the past 18 months including; Vice President of Mobile, Prasad Gokhale and Vice President of IT and Mobile, Richard Fink.

Mr Grace claims his appointment comes as Samsung Australia “builds momentum” across many brand activities, especially around “televisions, audio, and home appliances”.

Samsung Electronics Australia President, Harry Lee, affirms Grace’s experience in the Asia Pacific region is “second to none”, and will enable the company to drive its “brand forward in Australia”.
