EXCLUSIVE: Bose Stores To Stock Loewe TV Range
Melbourne based distributor Indi Imports has secured a deal that will see 80% of the Bose stores in Australia selling the new Loewe TV range.
Last month the German based TV Company moved distribution of the brand moved from Qualifi to Indi Imports.
ChannelNews understands that several current Loewe retailers including Tivoli and Klapp in Melbourne have written to Loewe “demanding” that Indi Imports take responsibility for all warranty claims associated with current models being sold in Australia.
A key benefit for retailers stocking the new range of Loewe TV’s is that the brand will not be sold on Amazon.
Currently there is over 75 Bose dealers in Australia.
The new Loewe range includes several sizes including a new range of budget TV’s. Despite being the entry-level model, Loewe claims Bild 3 is “uncompromising in terms of image quality, audio output and design”.
The range comes in new smaller screen sizes, 43-inch, 49-inch, and 55-inch.
The 43-inch and 49-inch models feature 4K LCD screens, which use Loewe’s proprietary upscaling technology.
Sound-wise, the Bild 3 range features an integrated sound bar featuring 4 drivers, 2 passive radiators.
The 43 and 49” models are also available with optional DR+ which adds an integrated 1TB hard-drive for pausing live TV and recording your favourite TV series and movies.
All televisions feature Bluetooth, letting owners stream music from a phone or tablet to the TV sound bar.
Designed by the brand’s creative director, Bodo Sperlein (the man behind Loewe’s Bild 5, Bild 7 and Bild 9 models), the minimalist-styled, modular TV incorporates a thin OLED screen and a crafted steel frame.
Sperlein says the design relies on small magnets – the inspiration for which came from how sails are attached to a mast on a boat.
Although no definite details have been provided on its development or upcoming release, Loewe has introduced different models of the Bild X – one with a polished black marble disc and one with steel ‘cross’ design, and available in gold or black finishes.
The manufacturer also says that the TV will be able to sit against a wall or rest on its accompanying stand. There is no word on the size screen Loewe hope to bring the Bild X out in.
