B&O Play Launches Wireless Beoplay H4 Headphones

B&O Play have launched a new pair of wireless over-ear headphones that the company will use to expand its reach to a wider audience.

The Beoplay H4 headphones feature B&O Play’s “authentic sound” at a lower price point than any other over-ear headphones in the Beoplay range, but not at the expense of quality according to the company.

Priced at $399 in Australia, the Beoplay H4 are between $100 and $400 cheaper than other over-ear Beoplay headphones.

“Beoplay H4 started as an exciting idea of a new, dynamic archetype that would give us the opportunity to expand our best-in-class sound, craftsmanship and design language to a much broader audience,” said Jens Jermiin, B&O Play’s Global Head of Marketing.

Rather than touch controls on some of the company’s higher-end headphones, the Beoplay H4 features three buttons for volume, playback and phone call control. Battery life is rated at up to 19 hours on a 2.5 hour charge.

Soft lambskin covers the memory foam ear cushions and the headband, and braided textile encases the cord that connects between sides of the headphones, which B&O Play chose to make partially visible for a “singular design touch.”

The headphones are also compatible with the Beoplay App for personalising sound profiles, tonality and sound staging.

Beoplay H4 headphones are priced at $399 RRP and are available now from Bang & Olufsen showrooms. They will also be available online at beostore.com.au from February 13.
