Huawei Back Raiders In 2015

Huawei Back Raiders In 2015The extension of Huawei’s sponsorship of the Canberra Raiders was announced at Canberra Stadium last night before the Raiders v Broncos game.

Tech giant Huawei have backed the NRL team since March 2012 and is the Chinese-owned company’s longest global sports sponsorship deal.
Huawei, still a relatively unknown brand among consumers in Australia, logo appears on Canberra Raiders home and away jerseys.
“The Raiders have provided Huawei with a fabulous opportunity to grow and strengthen our brand in Australia,” said Huawei Australia Chairman John Lord.
“We look forward to new and exciting initiatives in 2015.”
The duo have also worked together to raise money for cancer research, provided volunteers at local junior clubs with technology and supported indigenous programs.
“The Green Machine is now part of a sponsorship stable that includes some of the biggest names in world sport – Arsenal, Borussia Dortmund, AC Milan, the Spanish La Liga and the IPL’s Royal Challengers Bangalore,” said Lord.
Huawei, one of the worlds largest telecommunications providers, was banned from working on the NBN by the Federal government after the company was suspected of having links with the Chinese army.
