Bankwest Rolls Out New Wearable Payment Rings

As payment methods continue to merge with wearable devices, Bankwest has rolled out its new ‘Halo’ rings, enabling easy tap-and-go payments.

Designed to wear on a user’s finger, Bankwest customers can purchase a Halo ring here for $39, or $29 if they get in at the introductory price.

Bankwest claims the innovation is Australia’s first payment rings.

The product adds to the flurry of existing wearable options consumers have for convenient payments – e.g. digital wallets integrated within a smartwatch or fitness band such as the Fitbit.

Bankwest’s Halo ring claims to be waterproof and doesn’t require charging.

The Australian bank affirms that significant time was invested in the device’s development, including several rounds of customer feedback.
