Australia Post Enters Residential Broadband Market

Australia Post has launched its own residential internet service, using the National Broadband Network.

Australia Post Broadband will offering eight different tiers, starting at $40.50 a month for a ‘basic’ package with typical evening speeds of 11Mbps, and topping out at $115.50 a month for evening speeds of 250Mbps.

These are the introductory prices only, with the lowest tier rising to $54 after six months. None of the tiers have lock in contracts.

“Customers want choice when it comes to selecting their home internet service, so we are providing a range of plans to suit people’s usage habits,” said Australia Post executive general manager of retail Catriona Noble.

“Our priority was also to make it easy for customers to switch to Australia Post Broadband.”
