Asus has expanded its ROG gaming lineup with the launch of the ROG Strix XG27ACMEG, a 27-inch WQHD monitor featuring a lightning-fast 260Hz refresh rate and a 0.3ms response time.

Available in black and white, the monitor targets competitive gamers seeking ultra-smooth visuals.

The monitor is currently available in China on JD.com for 2,099 yuan (A$440) and features a Fast IPS panel supporting Nvidia G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync Premium.

Asus ELMB Sync and Variable Overdrive 2.0 reduce motion blur and dynamically optimise response times, while DisplayHDR 400 certification, 400 nits of peak brightness, and 95% DCI-P3 coverage ensure vivid colours.

Each unit ships with factory calibration and a printed report for accurate colour straight out of the box.

Gamers will also find AI-powered features like Dynamic Crosshair and Dynamic Shadow Boost, enhancing targeting and visibility in dark scenes.

Connectivity includes HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4, USB-C with 15W power delivery, and a 3.5mm audio jack, with VESA 100×100mm support for flexible mounting. The stand allows height, tilt, swivel, and pivot adjustments, while Asus DisplayWidget Center simplifies on-screen control.

The XG27ACMEG joins Asus’ existing lineup, including the ROG Strix OLED XG27ACDNG (27-inch QD-OLED, 360Hz, HDR 400 True Black) and ROG Strix OLED XG27UCDMG (4K, 240Hz, 0.03ms response), as well as the portable ZenScreen MB27ACF, a 27-inch QHD IPS monitor with 100Hz refresh and foldable stand.

The XG27ACMEG competes with mid-range 27-inch 2K monitors like Dell’s S2725DC (144Hz, USB-C charging, A$400) and AOC’s 144Hz IPS panel priced at A$175, giving gamers options from budget-friendly to flagship OLED performance.

As of now, there is no official release date for the monitor in Australia.
