Apple Music’s Hi-Fi Tier May Arrive With AirPods 3 ‘In The Coming Weeks’

Apple is planning to add some music to your day, with both the hi-fi tier on Apple Music and the AirPods 3 true wireless earbuds due “in the coming weeks”, according to various music label sources.

Better still, unlike Tidal, who charge a premium to not compress the living hell out of your music files, Apple Music’s HiFi tier (which we can only assume will have a snappier name upon its launch) will charge the same as the current ‘Individual’ tier.

As WhatHiFi points out, Apple’s WWDC developers conference begins June 7, which seems like a reasonable guess as to when they may roll these products out. Spotify’s own hi fidelity streaming service is set to launch later this year.

This marks the second innovation that both Apple and Spotify have announced in the past few weeks, with both companies announcing a subscription podcast service.
