iOS 17 is expected to be revealed in June during Apple’s Worldwide Developer Conference, and iPhone owners are curious about any big features that will come with the update.
It has been reported a major change will come through a complete interface overhaul for locked devices, turning iPhones into smart displays.
This new interface will be able to display loads of information including the weather, push notifications, upcoming significant calendar dates, plus so much more.
It will display automatically once the iPhone is locked and laying horizontally with the screen facing up.
This would make all iOS 17 iPhones similar to other smart home screens, such as the Pixel Tablet.
Apple might even possible design its own docks for the iPhone, and quite possibly the iPad if it gets a similar update.
A source has claimed the interface is to “build on the company’s launch of the lock screen widgets last year as part of iOS 16.”
