Apple Considering Removing Notch From Devices In 2019

Apple is thinking about remove the notorious notch design from its iPhones, according to reports.

A report from Korean tech site ET News says Apple is planning to improve obstacles such as the 3D sensor and camera module that were obstructing the way for a full screen.

The change will occur next year on its OLED displays.

A representative spoke to ET News saying, “Apple decided to get rid of notch design starting from 2019 models and is having discussions with relevant companies. It seems that Apple is planning to implement full-screen that is more complete to its new iPhones.”

A few smartphone manufacturers such as Huawei and ASUS are also implementing the notch on their devices copying Apple. This move could be Apple’s way of once again differentiating itself from the competition.

The notch has caused a lot of outrage from users and even some analysts are blaming the notch for lower than expected iPhone X sales.

No word on the size, shape or resolution of the notch-free smartphone so watch this space, or should we say notch?
