Godfreys Expands Leadership Team, Pursues Turnaround

Following its recent earnings report with a 62% drop in profit, Godfreys has welcomed two new staff to its leadership team, as it pursues a three-year turnaround strategy.

During its earnings result announcement, Godfreys CEO Jason Gowie, affirmed the retailer has certain organisational deficiencies, and an expanded leadership team was essential to its turnaround.

The vacuum cleaner retailer has appointed Cat Parker as its new Chief Customer Officer, and Mari Ruiz at its Chief People & Culture Officer – both effective March 13th.

With reportedly over seventeen years of experience, Parker was formerly Goodyear’s General Manager of digital, IT and product marketing. She also held tenure in New York based leadership roles for Toys R Us and eBay Enterprises.

Ruiz reportedly boasts over twenty five years of HR leadership, and was named HR Leader of the Year by CEO Magazine last year.

Speaking of the new appointments, Godfreys CEO Jason Gowie, informed Appliance Retailer the company will reap several long-term commercial benefits:

“We are looking forward to the significant contribution both Cat and Mari will make in transforming the Godfreys business over the coming years”.
