Apple CEO Tim Cook Tributes Late Steve Jobs On Nine-Year Anniversary

Apple boss Tim Cook has paid tribute to the late Steve Jobs on the ninth anniversary of his death, remembering the co-founder in a post on Twitter.

Cook shared a poignant quote from US poet and civil rights activist Maya Angelou, writing: “A great soul never dies. It brings us together again and again.”

“You’re always with us Steve, your memory connects and inspires us every day.”

Jobs passed away on October 5, 2011 after a long battle with a rare form of pancreatic cancer. He and co-founder Steve Wozniak created the first Apple computer in 1976 and incorporated the company the following year.

Cook joined Apple in March 1998 as a senior vice presidentt, for worldwide operations and was made chief executive in August 2011, prior to Jobs’ death.

Cook’s tribute to Jobs comes only days before the launch of the iPhone 12, which is slated for release on October 13.
