Apple has increased the estimated trade-in values for a wide range of its products, offering customers higher credits on eligible iPhones, Macs, iPads and Apple Watches as anticipation builds for the expected release of the iPhone 18 Pro next month.

The revised valuations are now available through Apple’s trade-in program in the United States, with some devices receiving noticeably larger increases than others.

Recent iPhone models have benefited the most. The iPhone 16 Pro Max now has a maximum trade-in value of approximately A$1,105, up from around A$1,065. The iPhone 16 Pro has increased from about A$860 to A$965, while selected models in the iPhone 15, iPhone 14, iPhone 13 and iPhone 12 ranges have also received smaller valuation increases.

Apple has made some of its biggest adjustments to Mac computers.

The MacBook Pro can now attract trade-in credit of up to approximately A$1,310, compared with around A$1,060 previously. The MacBook Air has increased to about A$890 from roughly A$795, while the Mac mini has risen from approximately A$575 to A$735.

The largest trade-in value within the Mac range is now available for the Mac Studio, which can receive credit of up to around A$2,000, compared with approximately A$1,600 under the previous pricing.

Apple has also raised trade-in estimates across its iPad lineup. The iPad Pro is now worth up to approximately A$1,105, with the iPad Air, iPad mini and standard iPad also receiving modest increases.

Several Apple Watch models have also been included in the latest update, including the Apple Watch Series 10, Series 9, Series 8 and Series 7. However, values remain unchanged for both generations of the Apple Watch Ultra and the Apple Watch SE models.

The program has also expanded to include additional Android smartphones.

Apple has added devices including the Google Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, OnePlus 13, OnePlus 13R and Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra to its trade-in program for the first time. Existing trade-in values for other Android devices have been adjusted, with some increasing while others have fallen.

Apple notes that all published trade-in values are estimates only. The final amount offered depends on factors such as the device’s condition, specifications and eligibility after inspection.

With the next generation of iPhones expected to arrive soon, the higher trade-in offers may encourage more customers to upgrade by reducing the overall cost of purchasing a new device.
