Another Senior Executive Leaving TCL Mobile
Another senior executive is leaving TCL Mobile, with David Vieira a 21-year veteran and former marketing director quitting the business to go back to Europe.
Earlier this year the Chinese mobile and TV Company lost the services of Sam Skontos and several other senior executives who left with him to form their own distribution Company.
Skontos was credited with establishing the Alcatel brand in Australia and launching TCL into the mobile space.
During his 21 years with the Company Vieira a French national worked for TCL in China and Mexico and the last 5 years in Australia.
Vieira told ChannelNews that he has purchased a house in Portugal where he will be based in Europe.
He said “My time in Australia has been a career highlight, and as with all things these days none of us can ever fully separate career with personal life. Now it is time for my next adventure, which will involve leaving Australia shortly and moving to Portugal where my family will put down more permanent roots”.
“I leave TCL with many great memories and a foundation upon which to build my future, and for that I am grateful”.
Recently TCL management made the decision to hire former Huawei Australia staff into senior roles in Australia.
The former Telstra account manager who was based in Melbourne has been replaced with a former Oppo executive as the business looks to grow their product range in Australia which will shortly include a new premium smartphone as well as glasses that allow a user to watch a 140-inch display via the OLED glasses.
