Android Nougat Launching Next Week
While the first handset running on it won’t be available until September 7th, Google will be releasing the Android 7.0 to the public a few weeks earlier than expected.
The launch date of the 22nd of August itself looks to have been from a software update schedule published by Canadian carrier Telus.
The new iteration of the Android OS will bring with it major improvements for mutlitasking, Doze, VR and notification functionality. It’s also bringing a new ‘total silence’ option to users.
The update will be available to owners of HTC, Nexus, LG and Motorola handsets.
It’s also been tipped to come to Samsung users within a number of months after launch.
