Amazon Music Debut On Garmin Smartwatches
Garmin expands on its music streaming services for its various wearable devices and has become the first wearable company to roll out support for Amazon Music.
Amazon Prime subscribers with a compatible Garmin smartwatch will now have access to more than two million songs, as well as hundreds of playlists and stations at no additional cost.
The Amazon Music app is available now in Garmin’s Connect IQ store for compatible wearables, such as the Forerunner 245 and 645 Music range, Forerunner 945, Vivoactive 3 Music range, as well as D2 Delta, Fenix 5 Plus and MARQ series devices.
“As the first wearable company to offer Amazon Music, we are excited to collaborate with another key music provider to bring even more listening options to customers around the world,” said Dan Bartel, Garmin vice-president of global consumer sales.
“Music helps keep us moving during our hardest runs and workouts, and with Amazon Music, there are more than 50 million songs to choose from, so you can stay motivated no matter where your training takes you.”
Amazon Music now joins other streaming services Spotify, Deezer and iHeartRadio in having support on Garmin wearables.
Other major streaming services like Apple Music or SoundCloud have yet to appear on the platform.
Customers who have yet to try Amazon Music Unlimited are eligible for a 30-day trial.
