Amazon Australia Needs Thousands Of Workers For Sales Season
Amazon Australia is looking to onboard more than 1,000 seasonal workers for the mid-year sales season, plus many more part time parcel deliverers.
According to the e-commerce giant, it is after workers with a range of skill sets and experience “to help pick, pack, sort and ship customer orders,” across Amazon sites in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide. No formal qualifications are required.
“We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic people to join our team over the mid-season sales period,” explained Amazon Australia Director of Operations, Mindy Espidio-Garcia.
“There are more than 1,000 roles available at our sites across the country and we provide on-the-job training so no previous experience is required. We urge anyone looking for a fulfilling, short term role in a safe, exciting and positive work environment to apply.
“People are at the heart of our operations, and our peak periods are an exciting time to be part of the team. We make the busy fun! It is by prioritising our people, that we are then able to deliver a world class experience for our customers.”
On top of this, Amazon is looking for “those who want the flexibility to work when it suits them” to deliver parcels using their own vehicle, as part of the company’s Uber-like Amazon Flex program.
Amazon Flex delivery partners can choose delivery block times that suit their schedules each week, and are paid weekly.
