Alcatel OneTouch To Showcase New Pixi 4 Line At CES 2016

Alcatel OneTouch has taken the wraps off a number of products set to debut at CES 2016, including its new Pixi 4 line and its first tablet running a Windows operating system.

The Pixi 4 family of products includes 3.5″ and 4″ smartphones and a 6″ phablet, along with a 7″ tablet, which Alcatel OneTouch describes as “premium entry-level devices offering a comprehensive user experience in design, audio, camera and battery life”.

Meanwhile, the Pixi 3 8″ tablet, also described as an entry-level device, runs the Windows 10 Mobile operating system and is decked out with a Qualcomm chipset for 4G connectivity.

Alcatel OneTouch states the Pixi 3 tablet offers customisation through colour skins and flip-stand covers, with other features including TV remote control, voice-call enablement and GPS, along with front and rear cameras.

Alcatel OneTouch is also set to showcase its CareTime children’s watch, which, equipped with GPS, allows parents to call or send voice messages to their children, with children able to reply or make calls to preset contacts.

The GPS locator lets parents know where their children are, with the watch also including an app that notifies parents when their children enter or leave a predetermined safe zone.

“From concerned parents to first-time smartphone users, we have a device to fit every need,” Dan Dery, Alcatel OneTouch chief marketing officer, commented.

“Our new line will be showcased at our booth at CES. We invite everyone for a hands-on trial of the devices to experience the excellent value we offer our consumers.”
