Elan Announces Major Software Upgrade
Released in December 2007, ELAN’s N800 provides portable control of ELAN multi-room systems, its Dual Digital Tuner as well as supports ELAN VIA Integration partner systems. The release of this upgrade now extends that portable wireless control to ELAN’s two most popular entertainment sources. As a result, users can now control supported iPods docked with a VIA!migo and view instant iPod “Now Playing” information, playlists, albums songs, genres and more on the N800’s 4.13-inch widescreen display. Users will also have complete access and portable wireless control of all music residing on their ELAN VIA!dj II Digital Music Server, with the ability to browse by artist, CD title, song, era, year or genre, create personal playlists, view CD cover art, “Now Playing” info and more. “We are pleased to be able to respond so quickly to our Dealers’ requests for these awesome additional features for our N800 controller that will enhance their client’s experience with controlling and accessing their entertainment. With stellar color graphics displayed on a high resolution widescreen display, and this upgrade, this tiny, convenient handheld controller is quickly establishing itself as one of our most popular controllers in just the three short months it has been available,” said Mr. Farinelli. In addition to compatibility with all current ELAN Multi-Room Controllers and now most ELAN entertainment sources, the N800 provides reliable wireless control of home theater, lighting, temperature and security systems from any room, as well as easy access to the Internet for email and other Web functions. The N800 firmware upgrade is available now at no cost. |
