Intel Patent Reveals A Curved Hybrid Notebook

Intel may be working on a 2-in-1 device with a curved design.

A design patent discovered by The Leaker for an “electronic device with detachable curved display” reveals the chipmaker could eventually build a hybrid device of its own.

Both the display and the keyboard appear to be curved, with patent images also revealing a detachable screen.

So far curved displays have been limited mostly to TVs and monitors, apart from Acer’s Predator 21 X revealed last year with a 21-inch curved display.

No additional details about Intel’s device have been revealed. The company filed for the design patent in July 2015, with no indication as to whether the 2-in-1 device depicted will ever be released.
