Fitbit Kids ‘Ace 2’ Lands In Oz For $129

Fitbit’s new ‘Ace 2’ (RRP A$129.95) kids fitness tracker has finally landed in Australia, releasing to stores this week after its March launch.

A Fitbit spokesperson claims the product was withheld locally to coincide with school holidays post end-of-financial-year.

The Ace 2 is designed for kids 6 years+ and seeks to prompt healthy, active living – complemented by a new swim-proof design and protective screen bumper.

Available in several bright colours (e.g. watermelon with a teal clasp), the Ace 2 debuts new animated clock faces for additional customisation.

Animations seek to keep kids moving and motivated, alongside colourful avatars and cover photos to personalise their Fitbit app profile.

For added safety, parents are required to create a Fitbit family account to house their child’s Ace 2 profile, thereby staying on top of their kids’ activities.

Fitbit has also released several compatible Ace 2 accessories including classic silicone bands in bold colours, and playful printed bands with motivational messages.

The news comes as the global wearable market continues to soar, with latest numbers from IDC attributing smartwatches for continue growth.

Further information and full product specifications are available on Fitbit’s website here.
