Among the new range is the Acer Aspire R 14 which is a convertible notebook with diamond edge design and a thinner 360-degree dual torque hinge that delivers four ways that the new notebook can be configured.
Also announced is the Aspire Z3-700 all-in-one PC that features a new capability -a built in battery that last for five hours.
Key to the performance of the new Acer offerings is the introduction of Intel’s new 6th Gen Core processors that will be revealed in Australia on Wednesday at the Sydney Opera House.

At only 18.5mm thin and weighing in at just 1.9kg, the Aspire R 14 also comes with to 8GB DDR3L system memory, and SSD storage as well as new MU-MIMO wireless technology which delivers fast throughput with the recently launched Linksys and Netgear Nighthawk routers.
Acer said that the new wireless technology delivers three times faster downloads speeds compared to other 802.11ac products, especially in crowded networks.

Improvements to speech recognition have been achieved through the use of enhanced digital signal processing (DSP) that cancel background noise and improve speech accuracy, allowing people to have an optimized Cortana experience claims Acer executives.
The Aspire R 14 and Aspire Z3-700 also feature Acer TrueHarmony Plus technology with Dolby Audio, which delivers significantly improved audio output with immersive surround.
Both devices also ship with Acer BluelightShield, with four professionally tuned modes to choose from, which can effectively reduce eye strain by reducing blue light emission from the screen.

The Aspire R 14 comes with a hairline-brush metallic finish, diamond-cut edge design, and a thinner 360-degree dual torque hinge for increased flexibility between four usage modes.
When paired with Continuum, this helps people switch easily between PC and tablet mode, Acer claimed.
Jumbo Tablet Aspire Z3-700
The 2 kilo 17.3-inch Aspire Z3-700 has a 15.6 mm slim chassis and two kick stands that allow it to stand or lay flat like a jumbo tablet.
Powered by Intel Pentium or Celeron processors the all in one can be configured with up to 8GB of DDR3L system memory, and SSD or HDD storage options.
It has a Full HD (1920 x 1080) 10-point capacitive multi-touch screen, which also supports input via a dedicated stylus for even more precise control.
Pricing and Availability
The Acer Aspire R 14 will be available in in Australia mid-November with prices starting from AUD $1,119.
Pricing for the Acer Aspire Z3-700 have not been announced.
