Asus Transformer Book T300 Chi Now Available In Oz
Transforming from laptop to tablet via a magnetic hinge mechanism, the “razor thin” 12.5″ T300 is powered by an Intel Core 1.2 GHz M-5Y71 processor, and arrives in two configurations, with either 8 GB or 4 GB memory and varying screen resolutions.
With up to a WQHD 2560 x 1440 display and 235 ppi, Asus states the T300 provides “incredibly crisp and detailed visuals”, while solid-state storage is employed in all Chi models, with the T300 models equipped with 128 GB storage. Portia Chang, Asus regional director Australia and NZ, stated the T300 is Asus’ “thinnest, lightest and most powerful Transformer Book to date”. “We’ve designed the Transformer Book Chi T300 as the perfect companion device for highly mobile professionals,” Chang commented. “T300 Chi offers the versatility of a high-end tablet, with the practicality of an ultrabook – a non-compromise solution whether you’re on the road for business, or relaxing at home web browsing or watching a movie.” The T300 models are available now from Harvey Norman, JB Hi-Fi, Dick Smith, the Asus e-shop and authorised Asus channel resellers at either $1,299 RRP or $1,599 RRP. Asus’ Windows 8.1 Transformer Book T100 Chi, featuring a 10.1″ FHD 1920 x 800 display and powered by an Intel BayTrail-T Z3775 quad-core processor, is also set to land in the Australian market in April.The T100, which comes with 2 GB memory and 64 GB storage, will be available from April at $699 RRP. |
