Audio-Technica’s Flagship ATH-M70x Headphones Set For February Aussie Release

Audio-TechnicaDesigned to bring out added detail in the mix, the M70x feature proprietary 45 mm large-aperture drivers with rare earth magnets and copper-clad aluminium wire voice coils, and are tuned to accurately reproduce extreme low and high frequencies (5 to 40,000 Hz).

Audio-Technica states they are ideal for studio mixing and tracking, mastering, post-production and audio forensics, while maximum power input is 2,000 mW, meaning very low distortion at even high volumes.

The M70x, which feature a circumaural design with pads contouring around the ears, sport 90-degree swivelling ear-cups for one-ear monitoring, while the ear-pads and headband are designed for comfort and durability, and detach for easy replacement.

A hard carry case is included along with the M70x, with three interchangeable cables (1.2-3 m coiled, and 3 m and 1.2 m straight cables).

The M70x will carry a price tag of $399.
