Strong Smartphone Sales Help Drive Huawei Growth
Huawei’s chief financial officer Meng Wanzhou announced profits from Huawei’s main businesses are expected to reach 33.9-34.3 billion yuan, with a margin of 12 per cent, which is proportionately in line with 2013.
Huawei’s carrier network business revenue increased by approximately 15 per cent year-on-year, with Huawei attributing a steady increase in 3G investment and a jump in 4G investments worldwide as being the main drivers of growth. Huawei’s enterprise business posted around 27 per cent growth, while its consumer business recorded a revenue increase of around 32 per cent year-on-year. Huawei attributed the growth in its consumer business to higher sales of mid-range and high-end handsets within the global smartphone market. Huawei will release its final audited financial results in March 2015. |
