Quickflix Prepaid Gift Cards Launch At Aussie Retailers
Having announced the initiative earlier in the year, Quickflix’s prepaid cards, in $20 and $50 denominations, have now landed in-store, with Quickflix looking to access weekly household shoppers.
The cards, which will be redeemable across Quickflix’s subscription and transactional streaming services, along with its online DVD rental subscription, are also scheduled to launch in Dick Smith, 7-Eleven and other retail outlets over the coming weeks.
Quickflix CEO Stephen Langsford stated the initiative is consistent with Quickflix’s “strategy for low-cost customer acquisition”.
“All Australians can now enjoy Quickflix, no matter where they live or shop,” Langsford stated. “We deliver the best in movies and TV, in streaming or DVD, whatever your choice of screen or device, and now we’re making it easy for all shoppers to get started with Quickflix by the gift card.”
Quickflix, which in May announced it had entered an agreement with Foxtel under which Foxtel’s Presto movie and TV SVOD service will be distributed by Quickflix to its customer base, is set to undertake an upgrade of its user interface over the coming months.
Quickflix has stated the upgrade will include the launch of a new interface for connected TVs, game consoles, mobile and tablet devices, along with access to Presto subscription streaming, as well as transactional streaming of latest release movies and current TV seasons.
