Fujitsu A/NZ Launches Major Chromebook-For-Enterprise Drive

Fujitsu Australia is out to change that, this week launch a major offensive to see major enterprises adopting Chromebooks – and new suites of managed services to deliver full support across complex networks.

“We are the first SI to offer managed services to enterprises for Chromebooks as part of our vision of ‘Workplace Anywhere’,” said Mike Foster, Fujitsu A/NZ CEO, announcing the new push.

Fujitsu will work with Google to deliver the enterprise-grade managed service offering across A/NZ, the company says.

It envisages some organisations managing and monitoring thousands of Chromebooks and Chromeboxes (a desktop version) remotely from one central location.

One target market is retail. “Retailers can now equip stores with ultra-low cost kiosks and remotely manage hundreds of stores from head office,” according to a Fujitsu statement. And, it adds: “financial institutions will be able to provide remote workers anywhere, anytime access to the resources they need.”
