LG’s New Wine Smart Created For Flip Phone Fans
The Wine Smart, originally released in LG’s domestic market as the LG Gentle, is set to make its way to international markets, with LG stating it is “designed especially for a generation of users who are more accustomed to the feel of flip”.
The Wine Smart combines a physical 3 x 4 numeric keypad with a 3.2″ HVGA (480 x 320) touchscreen display housed in a clamshell design, available in burgundy or navy.
It is powered by a 1.1 GHz quad-core processor, runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, comes with 1 GB RAM, 4 GB storage, and is decked out with a 3 MP rear camera and a VGA front camera.
“Our goal with LG Wine Smart was to create a smartphone that fans of flip phones could embrace,” Chris Yie,vice president and head of marketing communications LG Mobile Communications Company, commented.
“Consumers shouldn’t have to miss out on the smartphone revolution because they prefer a particular phone design over another. With LG Wine Smart, they won’t have to.”
LG states the Wine Smart will make its international debut later this month in countries including France, Italy, Poland, Spain, Kazakhstan and Japan, among others.
