Logitech Introduces Harmony Elite Whole-Home Controller

Logitech Introduces Harmony Elite Whole-Home ControllerLogitech states the Elite is its first Harmony remote designed from the ground up as a whole-home controller, featuring dedicated buttons for instant access to lighting and temperature controls, while a new touch-screen user interface communicates the status of all home devices “at a glance”.

The Elite is decked out with a colour touchscreen, motion sensing and vibration feedback, and supports up to 15 connected home products in addition to entertainment devices, with Logitech stating it features an improved button layout and a replaceable battery with 20 per cent greater capacity.

Bruce Lancaster, Logitech Harmony general manager and vice president, stated Logitech wanted to “take things a step further to make the layout more intuitive and inclusive of new smart home scenarios”.

“We evolved the remote’s design using direct Harmony customer feedback to better fit how our customers use and want to use their remote,” Lancaster commented.

“The result is a simple and elegant way to control your entire home. With the Logitech Harmony Elite, it becomes easy to do what you want.”

Logitech states the Elite, which is set to land in the US and Canadian markets this month carrying a suggested retail price tag of $US349.99, works with an ever-growing range of more than 270,000 home theatre and connected home devices and brands.
