4Square Media Journalist Luke Anisimoff Dies, 53

It’s with much sadness that we announce the death of 4Square Media journalist Luke Anismoff, who has had an extensive career spanning The Daily Mail, AdNews, NMW Magazine, SmartHouse & ChannelNews, as well as at Foxtel and Famous Magazines.

Luke, who had worked for 4Square Media since 2020, was found at his home on the North Shore on Friday night, after a police welfare search of his home.

A man with a great sense of humour, he was well known in the media world and had had recently been off work with COVID.

After attempts by 4Square Media, and his own doctor, to contact him, police from North Sydney were called to carry out a welfare check, resulting in the discovery of his body.

Luke, who had a history of sudden seizures, had had a fall and had hit his head.

Police are still investigating the issue.

During his time with 4Square Media, Luke, a former musician who grew up on the North Shore in Sydney, wrote some very informative reviews, which reflected his unique sense of humour.

On his LinkedIn page he wrote, “Everywhere and anywhere words are a priority”, how true.

During my time working with Luke, I got to know a lot about him from his school days around the North Shore to playing in a band to him constantly coming up with some great headlines.

He was a stickler for detail, especially as he loved subbing copy.

He also told some great stories about show biz personalities he had written about in his past life.

He will be missed by all at 4Square Media.

Details relating to his funeral have not yet been announced.

Luke is survived by his two children.
