Samsung To Launch New Tizen OS NX500 Digital Camera At CES 2015
This is the same OS that powers the Samsung range of Watches that appear to be faster and more responsive than Android Wear which can be found in several other smart watches.
The Korean Company is also tipped to reveal a new Tizen smartphone in March at the World Mobile Congress in Barcelona
Rumours surrounding a Tizen powered smartphone have been around for a while with the company tipped to launch a new Tizen model in India last month.
Earlier Tizen rumours suggested that Samsung might launch Tizen on a new range of smartphones called ‘Samsung Z’.
The Korea Economic Daily claims that Samsung are going to release a Tizen powered smartphone in January.
Called the Z1 it will come with a 4? display with an 800 x 480 resolution and 512MB of RAM.
The sub $100 smartphone will be powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core Spreadtrum processor and is tipped to be sold in retail stores and petrol stations.
It will have a 3.2MP rear camera and a VGA front-facing camera.
Additional features include 3G, Wi-Fi, dual-SIM and a Tizen OS.
According to the reports the Samsung Z1 will go on sale in India (first) on January 18th and will be available for less than $90.
