Oppo Moves Closer To Launching World’s First Triple 200MP Camera Phone
Oppo is reportedly moving closer to mass-producing the world’s first smartphone with three 200MP rear cameras, as testing continues on its upcoming Find X10 Pro Max flagship.
It was first reported in May that Oppo was experimenting with the ambitious camera system, although the company was considering replacing the 200MP ultrawide camera with a more conventional 50MP sensor.
But a new leak from tipster Digital Chat Station claims Oppo’s latest engineering prototype still features the full triple 200MP Hasselblad-branded camera configuration, suggesting the company is increasingly confident it can carry the system into production.
The setup reportedly includes a 200MP main camera and 200MP periscope telephoto camera, both using large sensors measuring approximately 1/1.3 inches. A third 200MP ultrawide camera is tipped to use a smaller but still substantial 1/1.5-inch sensor.
Combined, Oppo could market the arrangement as a 600MP camera system, although megapixel figures alone do not determine image quality. The large sensors could nevertheless improve light capture, detail and dynamic range, while giving users greater flexibility to crop and digitally zoom into photographs.

The Find X10 Pro Max should not be confused with the Find X10 Ultra, which is expected to arrive in early 2027 with a different camera system reportedly built around two periscope telephoto lenses, including a 200MP sensor and a separate 50MP camera capable of up to 10x optical zoom.
Oppo may also include a separate 3MP multispectral sensor to improve colour accuracy and image processing, alongside a 50MP autofocus selfie camera.
The Find X10 Pro Max is tipped to run on MediaTek’s unannounced Dimensity 9600 Pro processor, which is reportedly being manufactured using a next-generation 2nm process. Handling images from three 200MP sensors would require substantial processing power and fast storage.
Other leaked specifications include a 6.89-inch BOE LTPO OLED display with 2K resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate, ultra-thin bezels and support for the BT.2020 colour gamut.
The phone is expected to run ColorOS 17 based on Android 17.
Oppo could launch the Find X10 Pro Max alongside the Find X10 and Find X10 Pro between September and October, although the company has not officially confirmed the handset or its specifications.
