World Record Broken: 1,069 Robots Dance In Sync

A perfectly synchronised army of 1,069 dancing droids may have previously been something from a sci-fi film, however, a recently broken Guinness World Record has now made this feat a reality.

Chinese engineers in Guangzhou programmed and arranged over 1,000 robots to dance in unison.

These miniature robots named ‘Dobi’, partied with vigor and precision, showing off several skilled choreographical routines.

The party took place on August 17th in front of the Guangzhou Baiyun International Convention Centre.

General Manager of ‘Dobi’ manufacturer WL Intelligent Technology, Cai Weidong, said that applying for the World Records was a way to prove Dobi is not just a ‘toy’ but a strong demonstration of Chinese technology.
