Amazon tablet is about to go on sale here, it appears. Amazon announced today Kindle Fire HD tablet is to go on sale in more than 170 retailers globally, and have listed Dick Smith and Big W as among the global retailers that will sell the Kindle tab.
The Fire tablet comes in 7″ or 8.9″ HD display, Wi-Fi, and access to Amazon appstore for e-books, music and videos.
No word on local pricing but is priced at $214 for the 7″ in the US, and $284 for 8.9″ tablet.
It also has Dolby audio, front-facing HD camera and 10 hours of battery life. Kindle Fire HD is available with 16 GB or 32 GB of storage.
