On one side is Lenovo a Chinese Company pushing Deepseek AI on the other side is Dell an all American Company using US AI technology with US President Donald Trump now urging consumers and businesses to go out and buy a Dell PC.

In what is shaping up as Chinese PC brand Vs US PC brand battle Trump has moved to push support for the Michael Dell brand after he told Americans to “go out and buy a Dell computer”, the statement had an instant effect with Dell shares surging close to 8%.

The president pushed the Dell brand while also praising founder Michael Dell and his wife, Susan, during a launch event for Trump Accounts, the savings accounts that the billionaire couple has prominently backed.

“Michael and Susan Dell, they are truly incredible,” Trump said from the Oval Office after ringing the opening bell for Monday’s trading session on Wall Street.

“We’re going to get him that money back one way or the other — and then I’ll ask for another $6 billion … We’ll start the whole process all over again,” Trump said of Michael Dell.

The program provides tax-advantaged investment accounts for children, including the one-time contributions of $1,000 from the Treasury Department for babies born between 2025 and 2028. Companies can make additional contributions.

Michael Dell whose wealth is around A$310 billion has him as fifth-richest person on the Bloomberg Billionaires Index — hailed the initiative as a way to give millions of American children a financial stake in the country’s future.
