Considering Instagram and Facebook have DMs, you’d think so would Threads, but currently users have to head to a person’s Instagram account and hope to be able to DM them there.
Adam Mosseri noted this was one of the features Meta must bring to Threads, noting four short term priorities.
These priorities are: helping users build lists of people to follow, improving algorithms, allowing users the option to only see posts from people they follow, and finding out how to allow users to message each other.
