As TV brands Samsung and LG Electronics engage in a price war in Australia, archrival TC is delivering record growth for their Mini LED smart TV’s.

In the last quarter TCL delivered global growth of 11.8% growth on sales of 16.62 million TV’s including the Ffalcon range which is exclusively sold at JB Hi Fi.

The Companies sales volume of TCL smart screens in the PRC market rose by 46.6% year-on-year.

In the first half of this year, global sales of TVs fell 6.6 percent year on year to 92.604 million units.

Sales of the top two players in the TV market Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics fell over 8% which is a problem for South Korean manufacturers.

In sharp contrast Chinese brands such as TCL and Hisense saw sales increase significantly.

TCL’s share of the global market in the first half was 11.1 percent LG Electronics was 13.7 percent with TCL closing the distance on the number two supplier.

In the first three quarters of 2022, TCL sales of their large-sized smart screens grew significantly with sales of their 65 inches and above increasing by 63.6% year-on-year.

In their latest filings the Company said that the overall average size of TCL smart screens sold in the market increased by 2.6 inches year-on-year to 47.4 inches.

Management claim that the business has entered a “Golden Age of Development” for its large-sized smart screens.

According to analysts the business leads in the sale of TVs built on Mini LED technology with the business credited with being “first movers” in the market.

They claim that TCL has built a moat around itself in the TV industry with the development of new TV technology.

In the first three quarters of 2022, sales volume of TCL Mini LED smart screens was up 12.4% year-on-year, and up by 20.1% year-on-year.

In August this year, TCL was awarded a top award by the Expert Imaging and Sound Association (“EISA”) in the “Premium MINI LED TV 2022-2023” category for their new range of 4K Mini LED TVs in particular the 98-inch TCL Q10G Mini LED TV.
