TCL Has No QD-OLED TV Plans, Admits CES Error

TCL has walked back plans to release its first TV boasting QD-OLED technology by the end of the year, admitting it released these details to media by mistake.

TCL shared information with numerous media outlets during press briefing and in press releases ahead of last week’s CES 2023 in Vegas.

TCL spokespeople are now confirming these details were issued in error.

Samsung Display is the only company that makes QD-OLED panels, and has been showing the technology off at CES.

It unveiled two separate models using the technology: the S95C Samsung OLED and S90C Samsung OLE, both of which will be available as 77-inch models – the largest QD-OLED panel taken to market to date.
