Swann Launches EVO Wireless 2K Security Cameras With Battery And Solar Options
DIY home security specialist Swann has expanded its EVO range with two new wireless 2K cameras – one powered by rechargeable battery, the other by solar energy.
Both models promise hub-free installation, high-definition video and no ongoing subscription costs.
The cameras deliver sharp 2K Quad HD video with a 120° viewing angle, infrared night vision, True Detect heat and motion sensing, and two-way audio via the Swann Security app.
The battery version, priced at A$139.95, offers flexible placement indoors or outdoors, while the solar option, which costs A$179.95, uses just 45 minutes of direct sunlight daily to maintain power.

Both models feature fully wire-free designs with weatherproof IP56-rated construction, allowing installation without complicated wiring or hubs.
Homeowners can store footage locally via included MicroSD cards – 32GB for the battery version, 16GB for the solar version – ensuring privacy and avoiding ongoing fees.
Swann CEO Alex Talevski said: “Home security shouldn’t be reserved for the tech-savvy or those willing to pay high installation or subscription costs. The EVO Wireless 2K range puts smart home protection and peace of mind within everyone’s reach.”
Both models, the EVO Wireless 2K Security Camera and EVO Wireless 2K Solar Security Camera, are available now on JB Hi-Fi.
