Sony just announced two new pairs of wireless headphones – the WH-CH72ON and the WH-CH520, both more affordable than the premium WH-1000XM5, which are great for talking through when on the go.

The WH-CH720N are over-ear wireless cans with Dual Noise Sensor tech, while Sony’s Integrated Processor V1 chip and two microphones in each cup deliver noise cancelling, and beamforming mics to deliver impressive call quality.

At 192g they’re also light, and there’s as much as 35 hours battery life with noise cancelling activated.

The on-ear wireless WH-CH520 promise up to 50 hours battery life, with Sony promising “easy hands-free calling and great call quality”.

They don’t have ANC, but the mics are high quality and there’s noise suppression processing onboard.

Both new models feature Digital Sound Enhancement Engines – the Sony upscaling tech to enhance compressed low-quality files.

Both support multipoint connectivity, to make it easy to change between two connected devices.

There is no plastic in the packaging, and the headphones themselves are built using recycled plastic materials.

Available in March, the WH-CH720 come in black, blue and white and start at around $230, while the WH-CH520 add beige (top) and start at $106.
